In Stompie Selibe’s powerful abstract, Dance Mama, an image emerges through the interpretation of music into visual celebrating the female archetype. Selibe is both a musician and a visual artist. Selibe uses music as a mental and spiritual stimulant to inspire his spontaneous visual creations. The same improvisational process is employed visually as when making music. The impromptu playfulness gives form to visual self-expression. Different materials are combined in his artistic creative process, engaging the viewer in a delightful journey.
