Printmaker Nathi Ndlandla used only two inks to create this beautiful landscape on paper. Signed underneath on the left is the inscription B.A.T. which stands for the French term “Bon-a-tirer”. This is the artist’s final, desired image and will typically be used by an artist to compare all future prints in the edition that follows. After the edition is sold out the B.A.T. may be sold as well. A signed B.A.T. proof falls outside of the numbered limited edition print run and is equally as valuable if not more, since it is the first and last of the specific artwork.
