The use of small simple orange road cones as building blocks or tiles starts taking the form to a whole new level – it’s like Lego for big kids. The possibilities become almost architectural. This piece challenges the viewer to reimagine everyday objects and their potential for creativity.
Using found objects, I fashioned an extruded cube out of plastic road cones joined with plastic cable ties. Doubling up on the number of cones allows for the piece to expand in size and in form almost like a fractal form of repeated modularity.
