Conevirus Large

The brightness of the work draws the viewer closer as it appears like a bauble or trinket. Once close, the title suggests that it has infective possibilities. It however infects with positive energy rather than the negative. This piece challenges the viewer to reimagine everyday objects and their potential for creativity.  Searching for geometric patterns in found objects and using them to expound on the theme that sacred geometry is present everywhere around us, I fashioned an extruded cube out of plastic road cones joined with plastic cable ties. Just like a biological virus the common road cone viral shape evolves and multiplies under the artist’s hand.
