Confidence

 The material collage, “Confidence”, describes Sanusi Olatunji’s own state of mind towards his work and life in general. In this portrait, he captures a resolute gaze in the eyes of a young girl, confident, determined and courageous to face her future. Sanusi uses strips of brightly printed African textile as his medium, glued together to form a tender visual and yet a resilient work of art on canvas.
