Into the Light ( Framed)

Sanusi Olatunji`s artwork entitled “Into the Light “ holds the central theme of this latest exhibition at Artyli.com. A bold portrait has been created from fabric collage. Vibrant pops of fabric colours scintillate between the mostly monochromatic fabric strips, making this an alluring piece. The portrait is of a young girl who appears to be looking  back, over her shoulder, while walking. We notice that her mask has fallen off her nose, which becomes symbolic as to where we are right now as the pandemic recedes. This artwork represents acknowledging the past as one walks toward the future. Sanusi, successfully explores themes of endurance and tenacity in his artworks.
