Obsessive

This work differs from many of the other collages on exhibition as it is far more colourful.  The colours are created through the intense process of cutting up and re-joining unresolved paintings.   The artist explains that this process creates a sense of peace within herself. Obsessive consists of a square format with a circle inside of it.  These shapes are clearly defined through the different placement of the small, collaged pieces.  The composition is arresting, and the viewer is forced to stop and engage with the work, taking note of the contrast between the geometric shapes and the organic quality of the individual pieces used to create the work.
