This work is a study of a fossilised deer skeleton housed in the Natural History Museum in New York. It’s of a  species of extinct deer which is roughly life size in the work. It explores the fragility of the condition in many species currently face.

The text reads Consummatum est, which were said to be Christ’s last words, translated as “It is complete”. There is also a  hidden and reversed text which read Ad Infinitum, which means “to infinity, without end”. This draws attention to the constant processes of creation and disintegration.
