Umcebo

“Umcebo” is skillfully created as a silk-screen print on Fabriano paper by Lindo Zwane. In this work as with most of his recent works, Lindo employs a limited tonal palette, however Lindo has added a metallic gold paint to created a magnificent luster to the image.   Lindo Zwane says: “I am interested in everyday life and the eminent future, but also how the past inextricably weaves itself into our present. Memories and influences of the past with the present reality often pose deep psychological challenges which I express through my work. These challenges come from the difficulty of being able to accept the past and acknowledge the present, particularly the chasm that still exist between the two.  Understanding how we are responsible for our individual space in the world regardless of circumstances, enables perseverance and reminders that we have the power to make better choices every day.”
