Exhibition: Urban Inscriptions

Artyli.com is honoured to present the artwork of Ludumo Maqabuka, in an exhibition entitled Urban Inscriptions.

Contemporary Urban artist, Ludumo Maqabuka is an artist whose work is at the juncture of where contemporary street art meets everyday life in Urban Africa. His work is highly relevant and interprets South African society with all its complex dynamics, within a frame of popular culture. Maqabuka` s artworks invite you to explore relevant themes, through a liberated visual language, expressed in the detail and boldness of Pop style images juxtaposed against surfaces of inscribed mark making – a flamboyant freedom of spontaneous process orientated surfaces creating a graffiti type of abstract expressionism.

Urban Inscriptions will run from 3 October 2020 to 31 October 2020, at Artyli.com, as well as an online exhibition on Artsy. Artyli.com is situated in the trendy heart of Milpark directly opposite the iconic open air 44 Stanley Street in Milpark Johannesburg.
