Jo Roets is a sculptor, painter and mould-maker from Cape Town. Jo’s background in the film industry began when she worked as an artist in the art department. Roets’ also had a full-time lecturing career, where she lectured in painting, prosthetics, special effects, props fabrication, sculpting, mould-making and casting at a multimedia film school. In 2017, after 14 years as a senior lecturer, she became a full-time artist.
