Patricia Jackson uses mixed media to explore social issues and social concepts around identity, whilst attempting to evoke a sense of dignity and honour in her subject matter through various art mediums such as sculpture, portraits, drawings and landscapes.
Patricia Jackson has lived in Johannesburg for the duration of her life and finds relevance in a quote by Fauvist artist Henri Matisse that reads, “Creativity takes courage. Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.”
