Maluleke uses traditional grass mats to speak on African culture, the realities of township and his own experience growing up amidst rural landscapes.
Fumani Walter Maluleke was born in Limpopo in 1991, in the village of Thomo. Fumani has carried with him the spirit of art for as long as he can remember, - drawing in school books and on the walls of his family home. Maluleke would later see his artistic talent acknowledged by winning numerous art prizes and sharing his creative skills as an art teacher.
